The wood that we use would have often otherwise ended up in landfill. We often rescue wood from the that has been left to rot. This could have been part of a sofa, table, pallet or bed in a past life and our aim is to bring it to life once more and craft it into something beautiful.
As our reclaimed wood items vary from piece to piece, we cannot guarantee the colour will be as shown in our photographs. We feel this only adds to the uniqueness of your product.
We source a variety of woods and more exotic if and when required. Please contact us for more information.
Oak
Oak is a very popular wood that has plenty of classic charm, that will mature and darken gradually over time. Whilst the natural integrity of this solid wood ensures resilience, the oak's strong grain adds real character to the surface. The shade of oak wood can vary from tree to tree and branch to branch. When a natural finish or oil is applied, the variations and contrasts of this gorgeous material shine, creating a beautiful natural feature in itself.
Beech
Beech is a very tough and hardy wood and is not overly porous, so it wears well. Over time it picks up a beautiful light and red colouration.
Walnut
Walnut wood is noted for its workability and beauty and is a rich, dark coloured wood. Overtime it grows in beauty and character as it ages.
Iroko
The innate qualities of iroko are that it is tough, dense, and very durable. Blessed with a high oil content, this African timber is hard wearing, naturally hygienic and stunning in appearance. Over time the golden surface of your iroko item will mature into a beautiful rich bronze colour.
